10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

July 9, 2016

While it’s basically obvious that I like to overshare about my life for about a decade now, believe it or not, there are still some things that I haven’t divulged. Don’t worry, no dark and serious stuff here to get you involved. I still like my mystery (lol). So, without further ado, let me share the ten things you might not know about me.

  1. The ring I perpetually wear (showcased on the picture above) was my grandma’s. It never comes off. I refuse.
  2. I started blogging in the year 2005! with Xanga.
  3. I am obsessed with stationeries. The first Target / Meijer / whathaveyou aisle I always run to is the office supplies/stationery aisle.
  4. I collect journals. But I never write on them.
  5. I have about 20 pairs of Chuck Taylors. Which makes me a little sad because I hardly wear them.
  6. I loveeeee grape tomatoes! I could eat those everyday.
  7. Once, I wrote a love letter to a boy, professing my undying love and affection. That’s when I was 12 LMAO.
  8. One of my most favorite childhood memory was when my “lil boyfriend” snuck the picture of Sonic he drew inside my school bag as a little just because present. I never really liked Sonic, but, looking back, I realized how sweet and innocent the young love I once had. And I’m glad I still have the memory of it intact (although, I don’t know what 7yo self did to the drawing! Yikes).
  9. I got my ears pierced by my friend, in between class breaks. All she used was the earrings itself and an ice cube. We weren’t exactly experts on sterilization and piercing specialists! Just a couple of 14 year olds inspired by the Parent Trap movie.
  10. The smell of fireworks remind me so much of my birthday. In the Philippines, they ring in the new year (with my birthday being the eve of New Year’s) with fireworks everywhere. When I say everywhere, it’s everywhere. So, whenever I smell fireworks on 4th of July or any occasion that requires one, it makes me think of the birthdays I spent in the Philippines.
