Why is it remember you will die?

April 9, 2013

Because before YOLO (ugh), there’s MEMENTO MORI (latin) which means, to remember your mortality and that death is inevitable. In ancient Rome, Memento Mori was taken literally. There was a story that my professor shared with us about a slave reminding the general (I forgot the name) of his mortality during his victory parade.

But here on my page, it’s a tiny reminder to always seize the moment, seize the day because you just never know.
